Ask your representative to cosponsor the Midwives for MOMs Act!
VFAM Supports the H.R.3352/S.1697 Midwives for MOMs Act, authorizing grants in support of midwifery education programs. One of the biggest barriers to midwifery access is that we need more midwives to meet the growing demand.
The potential benefits are manyfold: More midwives, safer and better served communities, job training in a growing field. The immediate need is for co-sponsorship in the house of representatives.
