My interest in midwifery began when I was in elementary school,  when I learned I had been born at home with a midwife! I followed in my mother’s footsteps with my children, who were both born at a midwifery birth center in Virginia. I am thankful to have a chance to serve with VFAM, and hope the experience I bring from consulting and working for grassroots activist organizations will help ensure families in Virginia have access to our wonderful midwives.
